The mechanisms involved in this treatment are relatively complex. Essentially Finasteride inhibits the production of an enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase. 5-alpha-reductase interacts with testosterone to produce dihydrotestosterone. Dihydrotestosterone contributes to the conditions being treated; male pattern baldness and enlarged prostates.
By lowering the levels of 5-alpha-reductase, less of it is available to interact with testosterone, so less dihydrotestosterone is produced. With reduced levels of dihydrotestosterone, its negative effects will gradually begin to reverse.
The beneficial effects of Finasteride will begin to diminish if treatment stops, as the levels of dihydrotestosterone will increase once again. Finasteride is not a cure for male pattern baldness or benign prostatic hypertrophy.
Why Buy Finasteride?
Men buy Finasteride to alleviate or reverse male pattern baldness or an enlarged prostate.
Most men (2 out of 3) taking Finasteride for male pattern baldness experience visible regrowth of hair within 3 months of starting treatment. In men that do not experience regrowth Finasteride usually prevents further loss of hair.
An enlarged prostate can produce a number of unpleasant and painful side effects, and may lead to more serious conditions or even surgery to release trapped urine. Finasteride offers relief from a number of enlarged prostate symptoms:
Decreased urine flow
Hesitation at the start of urination
Feeling like the bladder is full
